WASHINGTONPinnacle Foods Group LLC, a Fort Madison, Iowa, firm, is recalling approximately 90,975 pounds of bourbon barbecue sausage products sold to Walmart stores nationwide because they may have been underprocessed, USDAs Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Nov. 13.

The recall involves 5-ounce cans of Armour Vienna Sausage Bourbon BBQ Flavored" (24 per case). Each can bears the establishment number "P-4247" inside the USDA mark of inspection, a UPC Code of 54100 93824" and a use by date of Sept. 7, 2015. The affected products were produced on Sept. 7, 2012, and sold to retail establishments nationwide.

The company believes the problem occurred as a result of processing time miscalculations that caused the product to be undercooked during the production process.
