Frontier, Whole Foods Recall Nutmeg Over Salmonella

WASHINGTONFrontier Natural Products Co-op, a Norway, Iowa, firm, is recalling non-organic nutmeg supplied by Mincing Overseas Spice Company because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.

The recalled products involve non-organic nutmeg sold under the Frontier and Whole Foods Market brands in all 50 states and in some parts of Canada to distributors, retailers and consumers.

The recall involves 16-ounce packages of Frontier Bulk Nutmeg Ground" with UPC code 0-89836-00165-8 and Lot code 0306; and 1.92-ounce jars of Whole Foods 365 Nutmeg Ground" with UPC code  0-99482-41931-8 and Lot code 0321.
