EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.Grain Millers, Inc. announced additions of two new partners to its flax teama new product line for baking, cereal and beverage markets and new production facilities.

Partners Linda and Glenn Pizzey will be involved in all areas of Grain Millers' existing flax business, including processing, product development and technical services. Previously of Pizzey's Milling, the Pizzeys joined the company as it's launching its new SafeFlax line of flaxseed products.

The SafeFlax line includes SafeBake and SafeBev solutions designed for the baking, cereal and beverage markets. All SafeFlax products undergo a proprietary heat-stabilization and pasteurization treatment developed by Grain Millers to decrease risk of contamination while minimizing stress on the flax product.

SafeFlax will be manufactured at Grain Millers' Marion, Ind., facility, as well as at a new site in Angusville, Manitoba. The locations will join the company's existing facility in Newton, Wis., forming one of the largest global footprints of any food flax processor. The sites are expected to be fully operational by May 2013.
