Healthco Names Stauber Exclusive Distributor

BLOOMINGDALE, Ill. Healthco, the ingredients division of NOW Foods, named STAUBER as the exclusive distributor for Stevia FSE.

STAUBER is a distributor of raw materials to the nutritional, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and pet care industries.

Developed by Healthco , Stevia FSE is an organic, enzyme-treated Stevia sweetener that contains zero calories and has a low glycemic impact. Stevia FSE is a solution for the commonly used high Reb A stevias that leave a bitter aftertastea primary concern for manufactures and consumers. Stevia FSE utilizes the proprietary enzymatic method that helps to eliminate any bitter aftertaste and the use of flavorings or masking agents.

This natural enzyme treatment enhances its organoleptic properties and is National Organic Program (NOP) Certified Organic, Kosher and Halal and is 60 to 100 times sweeter than sugar.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued NOW Health Group a "No Objection" letter for the determination that Stevia FSE is generally recognized as safe (GRAS). Incorporating the platform of "general purpose non-nutritive sweetener for foods and beverages," GRAS allows manufacturers to add Stevia FSE in a variety of foods and beverages ranging from baked goods to milk products.
