MILANIndena's olive fruit extract Opextan received self-affirmed (Generally Recognized as Safe) status to be included in foods and beverages up to 1,062 mg per day.

This non-caloric extract has unique antioxidants from the olive's pulp, including the polyphenols, (hydroxytyrosol, tyrosol, isoacteoside and verbascoside. With its new self-affirmed GRAS status, the ingredient can be used in a variety of goods, such as bakery products, beverages, milk products, and processed juices.
