MILANIndena received kosher certification from KLBD (also known as the Kashrut Division of the London Beth Din) for a line of products including its Meriva® and Greenselect® Phytosome® ingredients. London-based KLBD has certified a number of Indena's ingredients. The kosher certification for these ingredients, manufactured in the main Indena production plant in Settala, Italy, required extensive site inspections reviewing the entire process from harvesting to the final extract.

"The positive conclusion of this new certification procedure conducted by the international kosher agency KLBD is a further step completing the Indena certification plan, which involved all our production sites," said Christian Artaria, Indena's marketing director and head of functional food development. "It confirms Indena's commitment in respecting the different cultures and specific needs of all customers and their consumers worldwide."

Russell Brown, KLBD commercial consultant, added: "It is very gratifying to increase our kosher certification business with Indena, certifying more of their leading ingredients. Furthermore, on behalf of my colleagues, I have to say it is a pleasure to work with such a professional organization and to thank them for the courtesy they extended to our personnel."
