Jasper Products Recalls Dairy-Contaminated Soymilk

JOPLIN, Mo.--Jasper Products has recalled 5,069 cases of soymilk, which were packaged under several brand names, due to possible contamination with dairy protein. The company received a report of one allergic reaction as of Dec. 12. After learning of the incident, the company conducted a follow-up investigation, which uncovered the possibility of contamination. The company reported the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in its production process.

The company recalled cases of 32-ounce cartons of soymilk packaged under the Stop & Shop, Western Family, Safeway Select and Full Circle brand names. The soymilk was distributed directly to warehouses in Washington, Oregon, Utah, Missouri, New York and Minnesota for further distribution to retail grocery stores nationwide. The following is a list of brands and lot codes of the affected products: Stop & Shop Original Soymilk (2280P1F1A), Stop & Shop Vanilla Soymilk (2280P1F1A), Western Family Vanilla Soymilk (2280P1F1A), Safeway Select Vanilla Soymilk (2280P1F1A and 2280P1F2A), Full Circle Original Soymilk (2280P1F1A), and Full Circle Vanilla Soymilk (2280P1F2A).
