FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.CRM Laboratories issued a voluntary nationwide recall of two products due to undisclosed active ingredients. The two pills, X-ROCK 3 Day Pill for Men and Z-Rock All Natural Male Supplement, were marketed as dietary supplements to support male sexual performance. The company has recalled all codes of the two products between October 2011 and April 2012.

FDA found the products contained sildenafil and an analogue of sildenafil, hydroxythiohomosildenafil. Sildenafil is the active ingredient in a FDA-approved drug that treats erectile dysfunction (ED). As a result, CRM's two products are considered unapproved new drugs.

The added ingredients, sildenafil and hydroxythiohomosildenafil, place consumers at risk because they may interact negatively with nitrate prescription drugs. These nitrate medications are common for patients with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease. So far, the company has not received any reports of complications related to this recall.
