Listeria Prompts Broccoli Recall in 6 States

WASHINGTONTaylor Farms Pacific, based in Tracy, Calif., is recalling broccoli and broccoli products sold at supermarkets in six states because they may be contaminated with Listeria, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Feb. 28.

The recall involves broccoli products sold under the Signature Café, TFarms and Raleys labels that were distributed to Safeway, Vons, Pavilions and PakNSave stores in Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington. The broccoli products have use by" dates ranging from Feb. 7, 2011, to March 7, 2011.

The affected products include TFarms, Snack Pot Penne Alfredo; Signature Cafe, Veggie Pleaser Tray; Raleys, Cheese Stuffed Shells W/Rustica Tomatoes Sauce; Raleys, Grilled Chckn Breast W/Mashed Potatoes & Gravy; Raleys, Broccoli Rice & Cheese; Raleys, Udon Pork Noodle Bowl; Raleys, Udon Chicken Noodle Bowl; Raleys, Family Grilled Chicken Penne Alfredo; Raley's, Asian Pasta Toss; Raleys, Yellow Curry Chicken Rice Bowl; Raley's Veggie Blend ; TFarms, Snack Pot Pasta Primavera;

Raley's, Vegetable Tray; Raley's, Vegetable & Dip Pre-made Impulse Tray; Signature Cafe, Mediterranean Snacker Tray; Signature Cafe, Mediterranean Snacker Tray; and Raley's Vegetable Catering Kit.
