Listeria Prompts Smoked Salmon Recall in 20 States

WASHINGTONSt. James Smokehouse Inc., a Miami firm, recalling 600 pounds of Scotch Reserve Whiskey & Honey Smoked Scottish Salmon sold at Fresh Market stores in 20 states because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Feb. 4.

The recall involves 4-ounce packs of Scotch Reserve Whiskey & Honey Smoked Scottish Salmon  with the UPC code 853729001151. The recalled products were distributed and sold in The Fresh Market stores located Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.
