NAFFS Announces Flavor Industry Forum

NEPTUNE, N.J.The National Association of Flavors and Food-Ingredient Systems (NAFFS), The Chemical Sources Association and The Society of Flavor Chemists are holding a joint meeting, the 11th Annual West Coast Flavor Industry Forum,  on March 10 at the Crowne Plaza Anaheim Resort.

The event features the following presentations:

·        Dr. John Mwangi from Nestles Scientific & Regulatory Affairs, will talk about consumers desire for more natural" products. Mwangi will cover how flavor suppliers, flavor chemists and product developers can understand the emerging and evolving needs of consumer products companies.

·        John Hallagan, FEMAs general counsel, will outline changes to U.S. natural flavoring laws, the differences between U.S. and EU natural flavoring laws and how upcoming harmonization of ingredients could affect flavorists.

·        Gwendolyn Wyard, Processing Program Technical Specialist for Oregon Tilth, will share her knowledge and discuss certified organic flavors, organic compliant or compatible flavors and the ingredients used within them.

·        An open panel Q&A, moderated by Tony Moore, Chief Flavorist at Flavor Producers, will give the audience a chance to get the answers they are looking for from these industry leaders.
