WESTCHESTER, Ill.Corn Products International, Inc., on March 26 announced the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) tribunal updated its August 2009 judgment of its case against Mexico over NAFTA violations regarding a 2002 tax imposed on soft drinks using sweeteners other than sugar cane.

The amount of damages$58.4 millionremains the same. The NAFTA tribunal has awarded damages payable to Corn Products International, Inc., instead of its wholly owned subsidiary, CPIngredientes, to eliminate double taxation.
