GENEVA, SwitzerlandNATECO2 will unveil its new carbon dioxide-extracted Sallow thorn oil at Vitafoods Europe from May 14 to 16.

According to the company, using CO2-extraction can decaffeinate tea, produce waxes out of the remainder of anteriorly done pressing, and remove smells. The solvent-free extraction also yields more than 90-percent oil.

The biogenic CO2 used for extraction has a GRAS (generally recognized as safe) status and can be used for food and cosmetics. The oils and extracts gained with the CO2technology are not contaminated by this process, allowing its use for organic products.
