Forsyth, Mo.—National Enzyme Co. (NEC) announced its ability to manufacture kosher products upon request. NEC has worked closely with STAR-K over the past several months to secure their status as a manufacturer of kosher products. The measurement of kosher certification rests on two variables: the source of the ingredients and the status of the production equipment. Kosher certification, which is the guarantee that a product meets kosher requirements, revolves around these two criteria. The kosher symbol on a brand represents more than a product that conforms to religious standards; it is viewed as a mark of quality and an added safeguard. National Enzyme Company accepted the new certification and added it to their list of current certifications, including: NSF contract manufacturing and GMP for sport, TGA and VPP.
