BANGALORE, IndiaNatural Remedies Pvt. Ltd. received proprietary ingredient (PI) numbers for two more of its branded ingredients from the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), allowing the sale of the products into the Australian market. The new PI numbers are 107221 for OciBest, a standardized phytochemical composition from Ocimum tenuiflorum that supports stress management, and 107219 for GutGard, a flavonoid-rich standardized deglycyrrihizinated licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) extract for stomach health.

Suppliers must obtain a PI number to launch new therapeutic ingredients into Australia; manufacturers can then use the ingredients knowing they are included in Australias listed medicines database.

Natural Remedies Dr. Amit Agarwal, director, and Dr. Shivaprasad, head of international marketing for human health products, applauded the efforts of Network Nutrition, the exclusive partner of Natural Remedies in Australia and New Zealand. This would not have been possible without their exhaustive efforts, and we thank them for those efforts," they said.
