QUEBECNeptune Technologies & Bioressources received New Food Raw Material certification in China, allowing the company to sell its krill oil nutraceutical products there. China's National Health and Family Planning Commission identified no quality of safety concerns for Neptune's products. The certification covers the company's NKO® and eco-friendly krill oil EKO®.

"With a population of over 1.35 billion, China offers significant growth potential for Neptune," said Henri Harland, president and CEO of Neptune. "Consumer demand for nutraceutical products supporting health and wellness continues to expand in China and Neptune intends to capitalize on this important market."

In December, Neptune moved for a postponement to resolve differences with Enzymotec over allegations of patent infringement. Neptune received a 30-day stay for the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) hearing.
