Montpellier, France—Advertising claims for Nestle’s Maggi Noodles and GlaxoSmithKline’s Horlicks are under scrutiny by the UK’s Advertising Standards Agency as the organization claims that the ads are misleading and inaccurate. “The Nestlé’s ad claims the noodle product could hlp build strong bones and muscles by dint of its protein and calcium content; whereas the Horlicks ad claimed that proof had been found that the beverage could make children “taller, stronger and sharper,” NutraIngredients reported. The Standards Agency argued that these health claims are not backed by significant scientific evidence.
