Gary Brenner, formerly VP Marketing and Business Development at Solbar Industries Ltd., announced the creation of his new company, Brenner pharma/food Business Development Ltd., in Israel.

"Following 18 challenging years helping to build Solbar into a global player in the world of soy proteins, I decided to direct my business and market experience for developing a new generation of novel health ingredients and consumer products, explains Gary Brenner.  Israel has become a hotbed for R&D in biotechnology and natural botanical extracts. Investors are showing growing interest in government and university sponsored incubator projects for their business potential."

The mission of Brenner pharma/food is to help create viable business models, taking innovative products and technologies to the global marketplace.  Focus is on dietary supplements, functional foods and beverages, and cosmeceuticals.

Joining the company is Brenner's son, Yonatan Brenner, whose training and experience as a chef is being utilized to support food and beverage technologists, asking to formulate active ingredients and still maintain exclusive flavor profiles. Yonatan is leading marketing and sales efforts with Stevia natural sweetener, REB A 97% manufactured by a GMP certified biotech company already supply to multi-national branded beverages.

According to Brenner, "By coupling two decades of experience in the food and nutraceutical industries, with a global network of customers who demand the highest standards of science and regulatory approval, we are focusing on unique products and processes that deliver vital health benefits and commercial value."

Brenner pharma/food will identify the high value products and most promising bioscience research start-up projects, working with strategic investors to realize the potential that lies in the health & wellness industry.
