NPB Offers Online Resources for Food Professionals

ATLANTAThe National Peanut Board (NPB) now offers online resources on peanuts and peanut products to food service, product development and manufacturing professionals at its new website.

The website's foodservice and manufacturing sections feature chef-created recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and snacks. It provides visitors with a variety of information including, insight into consumer research and trend information about peanuts and peanut butter, case studies in new product development and volume foodservice and a comparison of peanuts' nutrition profile to other nuts. Visitors can learn more about the different types of peanuts and other peanut ingredients like peanut flour and peanut oil and their unique uses. The site also provides access to best practices for managing food allergies, including peanut allergy, in foodservice, manufacturing and product development operations.

Additionally, visitors can connect to commercial sources of peanuts, peanut butter and other peanut products and meet some of America's 7,500 peanut farmers and learn how they produce their sustainable crop.
