PinnoThins GRAS Notification OK with FDA

CHANNAHON, Ill.Lipid Nutrition announced it received a no objection" letter from FDA regarding its notification to the agency on the GRAS (generally recognized as safe) status of PinnoThin®. Lipid Nutrition submitted the voluntary notification to FDA following the earlier self-determination of GRAS for the satiety ingredient. The GRAS status covers use of PinnoThin in baked goods and baking mixes, beverages and beverage bases, breakfast cereals, dairy product analogs, fats and oils, grain products and pasta, fluid milk and milk products, nuts and nut products, processed fruit and fruit juices, processed vegetables and vegetable juices, snack foods, soft candy, and soup and soup mix applications.
