Salmonella Prompts Jalapeno Recall in 10 States

WASHINGTONCastellini Company LLC is recalling certain jalapeno peppers that were distributed to retailers, foodservice distributors and military commissaries in 10 states because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced today.
The recalled jalapenos were sold in full case, half case, 20-, 10-, 5- and 2-pound packages and distributed March 8-20, 2012 in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
