Salmonella Prompts Walnuts Recall

WASHINGTONTropical Nut & Fruit, based in Charlotte, N.C., announced a nationwide recall of all its products containing walnuts supplied by Atlas Walnuts LLC after Nov. 16, 2010, because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Dec. 10.

The recalled products were sold under the Atlas, Tropical Nut & Fruit, and Harris Teeter brands and distributed to manufacturer, distributors and retailers nationwide.
