Salmonella Spurs Organic Oregano Recall in 15 States

WASHINGTONOlde Thompson, Inc., based in Oxnard, Calif., is recalling Earths Pride Organics Organic Oregano sold in 15 states because the dry seasonings may be contaminated with Salmonella, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced July 11.

The recall involves Earths Pride Organics Organic Oregano packaged in 2.2-ounce glass jars with cork closures and UPC code 400000290942 sold exclusively at BJs Wholesale Clubs in Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Virginia between Jan. 1, 2013 and July 10, 2013.
