Satiety Ingredient Gains GRAS Status

CHANNAHON, Ill.Lipid Nutrition has been granted GRAS status for its PinnoThin® satiety ingredient for use in functional foods and dietary supplements, opening the door for more innovative products in the weight management sector.

The GRAS status enables food companies to use PinnoThin in baked goods and baking mixes, beverages and beverage bases, breakfast cereals, dairy product analogs, fats and oils, grain products and pasta, fluid milk and milk products, nuts and nut products, processed fruit and fruit juices, processed vegetables and vegetable juices, snack foods, soft candy, and soup and soup mix applications.
