The Popcorn Factory Recalls Peanut-Seasoned Products

LAKE FOREST, Ill.The Popcorn Factory, Inc., is voluntarily recalling its Chef Inspired Ultimate Gift Tin and Thai Peanut Popcorn because the peanut seasoning mix may contain ingredients processed at Peanut Corporation of America (PCA).

The peanut seasoning mix was supplied by Barons Specialty Foods of Martinez, Calif., which has recalled products it received from the factory at the center of the U.S. Salmonella scandal.

The voluntary recall only affects products received directly from The Popcorn Factory prior to Feb. 5, 2009. The recall involves Chef Inspired Ultimate Gift Tin (2 gallon), stock code P02260; and Chef Inspired Thai Peanut Popcorn, stock code S0219TP. There are no UPC numbers for the products.

The product outer packaging is coded with the part or stock number and a date code. Any date codes of 09002 or any code beginning with 08 are included in this recall program.
