WASHINGTON—The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) announced two keynote speakers who will explore timely health care topics during the Thursday, Nov. 6, afternoon session at “The Conference: CRN’s Annual Symposium for the Dietary Supplement Industry," Nov. 5 through 8 at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Dana Point, California.
J.D. Kleinke, a pioneering health care information entrepreneur, medical economist, author, and business strategist, and a 2012 resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, will dissect the potential versus the realities of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and examine if the law is really changing how health care is delivered—or just how we pay for it. Kleinke has been instrumental in creating four health care information organizations, he served on numerous health care company boards, and he provided business, product, and technology strategy services to both start-ups and established health care companies.
Daniel Kraft, M.D., founding executive director, Exponential Medicine, and faculty chair for Medicine, Singularity University, is a Stanford and Harvard trained physician-scientist, inventor, entrepreneur and innovator with more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice, biomedical research, and health care innovation. He will examine rapidly emerging, game changing and convergent technology trends and emergent fields such as low cost personal genomics, the digitization of health records, crowd sourced data, molecular imaging, wearable devices and mobile health, synthetic biology, systems medicine, robotics, and more.
This session is just one on a full agenda during “The Conference". CRN is presenting “The Workshop: CRN’s Day of Science," an all-day symposium on Nov. 5. Four flexible registration options spanning both events are available. See CRN’s events website for details: www.crnusa.org/2014events.
