U.S.-China HPA Receives Export Award

ANAHEIM, Calif.The U.S.-China Health Products Association (HPA) received an export appreciation certificate from the U.S. Department of Commerces Commercial Service Health Team during Natural Products Expo West, held in Anaheim, Calif., March 10 to 13. The non-profit association was established by Jeff Crowther to work toward a more open regulatory environment in China, increase exports of natural health products to China, and create a safer and more transparent supply chain.

The award was presented to Crowther, the associations executive director, for the association's work in successfully promoting the export of U.S. products from Jarrow Formulas, All American Pharmaceutical, Pacific Health Labs, Forward Foods LLC and Chef Jays. The association worked closely with its retail member, World Health Store, which is the first foreign-owned and -managed health food store in China. The award also recognized the associations ongoing market intelligence reports to the U.S. Department of Commerce to ensure government-to-government dialog continues towards the further opening and overall development of Chinas dietary supplement and natural health product industry.
