Uncle Bens infused rice recalled after illnesses

Mars Foodservices US is recalling Uncle Bens® Infused® Rice products sold through wholesales distribution channels after complaints of some consumers experiencing mild flushing and rashes after eating its Foodservices Infused Rice Mexican flavor product, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced. No other Uncle Bens brand ready to heat, boxed, bag or cup products sold at retail are involved in the recall.

Mars Foodservices US is recalling Uncle Bens® Infused® Rice products sold through wholesales distribution channels after complaints of some consumers experiencing mild flushing and rashes after eating its Foodservices Infused Rice Mexican flavor product, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced. No other Uncle Bens brand ready to heat, boxed, bag or cup products sold at retail are involved in the recall.

The recall involves Uncle Bens Infused Rice Roasted Chicken Flavor (25 pounds) U301050; Uncle Bens Infused Rice Roasted Chicken Flavor (5 pounds) U0257000; Uncle Bens Infused Rice Garlic & Butter Flavor (5 pounds) U0257100; Uncle Bens Infused Rice Mexican Flavor (25 pounds) U0318000; Uncle Bens Infused Rice Mexican Flavor (5 pounds) U0257300; Uncle Bens Infused Rice Pilaf (5 pounds) U0262000; Uncle Bens Infused Rice Saffron Flavor (5 pounds) U0263002; Uncle Bens Infused Rice Cheese Flavor (5 pounds) U0262900; and Uncle Bens Infused Rice Spanish Flavor (25 pounds) U3012100.
