Vitamin K2 Self-Affirmed GRAS Status

LONDERZEEL, BelgiumFrutarom announced its natural vitamin K ingredient, UniK2, has been granted self-affirmed GRAS status for use as a food ingredient in products, such as dairy products, soy milk, fruit drinks and sport drinks, as well as baked and bar products.

UniK2 is highly suitable for functional foods, meeting food-processing demands, including high temperature stability, dispensability and other common manufacturing processes. The low recommended dosage per serving makes UniK2 a cost-effective and appealing ingredient for the functional food and beverage market. UniK2 is available in two levels of concentration: as UniK2 MK-7 powder 0.2% and UniK2 MK-7 oil 0.15%.
