World Food Processing Acquires Soy Protein Isolate Facility

ST. PAUL, Minn.World Food Processing has acquired Kerry Flavors and Ingredientss soy protein isolate manufacturing facility in Turtle Lake, Wis. The acquisition allows the company to expand its fingerprint in providing traceable non-GMO and organic ingredients to a growing industry.

World Food Processing has upgraded the facility that has a capacity of 5,000 metric ton and has begun production of their product line. The company will offer hexane-free organic and non-GMO soy protein isolates, as well as conventional IP/non-GMO soy protein isolates.

World Food Processing has enjoyed a long-term business relationship with Kerry Flavors and Ingredients, supplying the soybean division with whole soybeans for the past nine years," said Jerry Lorenzen, founder and CEO of World Food Processing. The acquisition of the Kerry Soy Protein Isolate Plant is especially exciting because it puts the final link of the World Food closed-loop system in place positioning us to supply safe and pure organic and non-GMO soy food ingredients."
