Blohe Pharma ~ Pharma Blenders for Dry Powder Batches

WARMINSTER, Pa.L.B. Bolhe introduced a homogenous blend of dry powders to aid in blending of pharmaceutical products. The company introduced four new products (PM 400, PM 600, PM 1000 and PM 2000) for use in its patented blending system providing effective mixing from 30 to 85 percent of the total container volume considering a product density of 1.2 to 1.2 kg/dm³. The low rotational speeds (2 rpm to 6 rpm) provide gentle blending which equals increased tablet density.

The blending operation is fully contained and closed process. Each container has an inner lid for filling procedures. The blenders are equipped to handle load capacities ranging from 400 kg to 1,000 kg, and the blending process can be scaled from 4 liters to 12,000 liters. This process also eliminates the need for blending motion, reducing overall machine footprint, equipment wear, maintenance and power consumption.

For full flexibility, manufacturers can exchange blending containers to use different volumes when required. Additionally, Blohe Pharma features an extended hoist, allowing manufacturers to use the blender as a milling station for bin-to-bin- transfer.
