O Canada, Naturex Opens Canadian Subsidiary

AVIGNON, FranceIn response to growing demand for natural products by Canadian consumers, Naturex has expanded it operations with a new subsidiary opening in Toronto. The new operation will provide the full product portfolio and innovations to current and future Naturex customers and also promote the companys wide range of natural products targeted at food and beverage industries.

The new Ontario province facility includes a warehouse and sales offices, providing local flexibility. Maxence Duprez, sales director, will lead this office, which will help develop the  food and nutraceutical markets.

Naturex's food and beverage business unit specializes in the development of natural flavorings, colorings, preservatives and healthy ingredients that are tailored specifically for the food and beverage industries.

Our office in Toronto is targeting the specific needs of the Canadian market," Duprez  said. It gives us the opportunity to enhance the relationship with our existing clients as well as prospecting new ones" he added.

Naturex said while the Canadian market is similar to the U.S. market, where the company has operated successfully since 1997, there are several distinct differences such as regulatory rules and consumer expectations.
