IRVINE, Calif.—Radient Technologies Inc. and Gencor partnered to launch three products—proprietary extracts of valerian, flax and rosemary—within the food, beverage, nutraceutical and other niche industries.

The products were developed using Radient’s patented microwave-assisted processing extraction technology, or MAP™, which significantly improves the cost, recovery and purity of natural actives relative to conventional methods.

In addition to the conventional potency, all three extracts will be available at twice the standard industry concentrations. The double potency offers manufacturers the option of reducing the quantity of material used while maintaining the same dosage of the active ingredient, allowing for smaller tablets, capsules and other delivery forms. The market interest in smaller dose sizes is significant, as smaller sizes have been shown to promote greater consumer compliance with regimens.

Gencor will be introducing the three products at SupplySide West in Las Vegas. Representatives from Gencor and Radient will be on hand to answer any questions regarding the MAP™ technology.
