WHITE MARSH, Md.TIC Gums will unveil its new technology, Add-Here® CSA, for bakery and snack food industries at the IFT 2013 Expo in Chicago.

Add-Here CSA works to improve particulate retention during manufacturing and shipping for the bakery and snack food industries. Additional bonding strength created by the new technology enables particulates on finished goods to stand up to various rigors experienced during their production and product life cycles.

In the bakery and snack food industries, product developers have started adding toppings that are healthy and globally influenced as a source of innovation. This comes with a variety of challenges including particulate loss during manufacturing and product packaging as these seeding products and flavorings often cannot be reused and must be disposed. Add-Here CSA works to combat these challenges by increasing the amount of particulates that stick to bakery and snack food products, achieving cost savings through reduction of ingredient spend, reducing the amount of particulates disposed of during production, allowing manufacturers to apply particulates efficiently, differentiating products by improving quality when increased coverage is desired and increasing new product development opportunities including healthy alternatives.

TIC Gums' will demonstrate the particulate securing properties of its new technology on pretzel chips for attendees. The company also offers a cost-saving, gum arabic alternative for the confectionery industry.
