KINGSPORT, Tenn.Voridian (www.voridian.com), a division of Eastman Chemical Co., introducedVitiva PET PC715, a new PET resin that provides protection from ultraviolet (UV)light. Containers made from the new PET resin block virtually all UV light from320 to 370 nanometers, according to the company, whereas standard PET and otherpackaging materials like glass, polypropylene and polyethylene allow UV light topass through.
