Women’s History Month: Line Johnsen helps improve human health with science

Line Johnsen, vice president of science and regulatory affairs at Aker BioMarine, has an important role within Aker BioMarine and within the greater industry. For the last decade, Johnsen has been leading Aker’s internal science department, working closely with external experts, ensuring the pipeline is full of new initiatives. She is also helping guide regulatory best practices for the industry at large.
Simultaneously, Line works closely with the marketing, sales and communications teams to bring this together. It’s imperative that all aspects of the organization fully understand how to communicate the importance of science in a way that resonates with the public. This is an innate skill that Line possesses and something that she leads with on a regular basis.
Line’s leadership characteristics and her keen ability to connect with various departments across the organization make her a true team player. Further, Line was elected to the board of directors for Aker BioMarine by her colleagues, a testament to her character and commitment to the company.
