LONDON—Product Launch Analytics released its 2008 flavor trends for new global launches in the bottled water, and jams and marmalades categories.

Aside from blends, lemon, apple and orange were the leading flavors used in new bottled water products launched worldwide in the period between October 2007 and September 2008. Apple climbed two places, from fifth place in the same period of the previous year, to third place, while kiwi is no longer among the top 10 flavors.

In addition to blends, the top three flavors of new jams and marmalades launched globally in the 12 months to September 2008 were strawberry, raspberry and orange. Raspberry replaced orange at third place on the list, while lemon dropped from fifth place, and apple dropped from sixth place, to joint seventh place. Blueberry and mango were new entries to the list of the top 10 flavors, replacing pineapple and lime in ninth and tenth place.
