MINNEAPOLISCargill celebrated its 20th consecutive year of successful contracting with farmers to grow VICTORY high oleic canola in Canada and the United States.

Cargill is committed to helping our customers and our grower partners succeed, and were pleased to celebrate this 20-year milestone of bringing value to both of those important partnerships," said Jenny Verner, president, Cargill Specialty Canola Oils. Consumer packaged goods and foodservice companies have long relied on Cargill to be their supplier of specialty oils as they meet growing consumer demand for healthier productsand this is particularly important during times of market volatility."

Verner said growers continue to partner with Cargill for the identity-preserved production of high oleic canola because the program allows them to grow the highest-yielding VICTORY hybrid variety with the Roundup Ready® herbicide trait and Liberty Link® InVigor® Health hybrid varieties. According to the 2011 Canola Performance Trials coordinated by the Canola Council of Canada, VICTORY V12-1achieved the highest return per acre of any canola variety.

Were committed to serving the entire supply chain, providing high-yielding Victory canola hybrids to farmers that ultimately result in oils with zero trans fats and lower saturated fat for our customers and the consumers they serve," she said.
