DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products Company LLC appointed Lipscomb Chemical Company as one of its Zemea USP propanediol distributors in the food and beverage markets.

WILMINGTON, Del.—DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products Company LLC appointed Lipscomb Chemical Company as one of its Zemea USP propanediol distributors in the food and beverage markets.

Zemea USP propanediol is a natural, bio-based solvent and humectant made from fermenting glucose and corn starch and is an environmentally sustainable alternative to petroleum-based glycols and glycerin.

The agreement covers Mexico, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Lipscomb Chemical has distributed Zemea propanediol in the cosmetic and personal care market since 2006.

Earlier this year, DuPont also released child nutrition solutions to combat the growing concern among parents about their children’s health.
