SINGAPOREInternational Flavors & Fragrances, Inc., (IFF) recently opened a state-of-the-art liquid flavors and fragrances manufacturing plant in Jurong, Singapore. The facility, part of a $100 million investment made by the company in Greater Asia, is 12,000 square meters and replaces IFF's previously existing plant.

The plant was built with automated processes that reduce water usage, energy and cleaning chemical, allowing IFF to remain dedicated to its commitment to minimize environmental impact. The plant, which eventually will have production capacity of up to 20,000 metric tons, generates minimal solid waste and waste water is treated to the highest industrial standards. The plant also will provide support for the company's Center of Excellence for Functional Fragrances that is headquartered at IFF's nearby Science Park creative facility.
