Mars Joins Sustainability Consortium

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.Mars Inc. has joined the Sustainability Consortium in support of the organizations science-based work toward a more sustainable global supply chain.
The Sustainability Consortium is an independent organization of diverse global participants that work collaboratively to build a scientific foundation that drives innovation to improve consumer product sustainability. The consortium develops transparent methodologies, tools and strategies to drive a new generation of products and supply networks that address environmental, social and economic imperatives.
Mars believes that science-based assessment and allocation of life-cycle product impacts are critical to enabling a transition to a more sustainable production-consumption model," said Kevin Rabinovitch, global sustainability director for Mars. The consortiums work is vital to moving beyond a focus on conflicting measurement systems and on to driving real reductions in impacts across the supply chains delivering the products consumers love."
