Symrise Receives Green Certification

HOLZMINDEN, GermanySymrise successfully passed the DQS audit and has received the green certification. The company fulfills the international requirements of the Global Conformance Program and has been certified for a 12-month period.
As defined by DQS, a Green Company" is a company that sets itself apart from its competitors in terms of products, services and environmental standards by minimizing its impact on the environment.

The auditors reviewed the Symrise business divisions in detail. Production, sales, research and development all demonstrated environmentally conscious operations.

Symrise addresses human rights, quality, health and safety as well as guidelines regarding energy, environmental protection, food and production safety on all levels, as well as regularly analyzing the results and adjusting them when necessary.
With the Green Company GC Mark, Symrise demonstrates how firmly sustainability is established within the company," said Dr. Heinz-Jürgen Bertram, CEO of Symrise. Employees, customers and suppliers are working together to shape and improve sustainable processes. In doing so they are playing a key role in adding value. Having received the 2012 German Sustainability Award, Symrise is a forerunner in the area of sustainability. The Green Company GC mark demonstrates that Symrise is taking its function as role model seriously. The seal signifies that the company has voluntarily had its products and services certified," said  Behzad Sadegh, head of innovation and sustainability at DQS-UL CFS.
