WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.—ConsumerLab.com released the results of its most recent product category testing, which examined the amount of vitamin A contained in certain dietary supplements, including preformed A, beta-carotene and cod liver oil. It reported one cod liver oil supplement contained twice the amount of vitamin A, while three supplements contained a third less than the claimed amounts of A (as retinyl palmitate and/or beta-carotene).
