SIMI VALLEY, Calif.—Skincare products company derma e will participate in Sprouts Farmers Market’s back-to-school campaign in August by donating 25 cents when its products are purchased. The campaign supports the non-profit Vitamin Angels.

For every 25 cents, Vitamin Angels is able to give one child enough lifesaving vitamins for a year. In 2013, Vitamin Angels distributed vitamin A to 30 million children in about 45 countries. Just one dose of vitamin A twice a year, at a cost of 25 cents per child, can reduce the risk of early signs of blindness caused by vitamin A deficiency by 68 percent. It can also reduce child mortality rates by 24 percent.

For the month of August, derma e will donate 25 cents every time the following hydrating products are purchased: Hydrating Cleanser, Hydrating Mist, Hydrating Serum, Hydrating Day Crème, Hydrating Night Crème and Hydrating Eye Crème.

“It is an honor to participate in this event," said Jennifer Norman, vice president of marketing for derma e. “By working with Vitamin Angels and Sprouts, both compassionate companies that share our passion for health and wellness, we are making a significant impact by helping others all over the world live healthier, more fulfilling lives."
