LONG BEACH, Calif.Speakers at the second International Tocotrienol Symposium will discuss advances in research for the cardiovascular and immune health, as well as newly emerging fields of radiation countermeasures, bone health, longevity and cognitive impairment. The symposium, set for April 29, 2012 in Long Beach, CA, and sponsored by American River Nutrition Inc., will be part of the 103rd Annual Meeting of the American Oil Chemists Society (AOCS).

In anticipation of the new book, "Tocotrienols: Vitamin E Beyond Tocopherols, Volume 2" (Fall 2012), this AOCS-linked symposium will allow authors to take the podium and present their latest ground-breaking discoveries. Speakers will discuss how tocotrienols work, novel product formulations and combinations, and offer the latest animal studies and clinical outcomes.

Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with tocotrienol experts directly, and view a tocotrienol poster presentation.

The first tocotrienol symposium was a half-day national meeting and was held six years ago at AOCSs 97th annual meeting in 2006 in Saint Louis.

Get ready for the conference by viewing INSIDER's webinar, also sponsored by American River Nutrition, "Tocotrienols: Emerging Science and Innovations of Vitamin E" on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. EST.
