PETAH TIKVA, IsraelCapsuDar® vitamin D (from LycoRed) is included in Tnuvas new Milk V, which offers the highest level of calcium in the Israeli market, according to LycoRed.  LycoRed was also involved in the development of the product and said its CapsuDar vitamin D is highly stable and provides 1.5 mg of vitamin D in one serving .

Tnuva created Milk V for children, with 400 mg of calcium, twice the amount of calcium found in unfortified milk. LycoRed said vitamin D is highly susceptible to oxidation and needs to be formulated in a way that protects the active ingredient. This customized formulation is structured for pasteurizing and performs well under a wide range of pH, according to the company.
