Israel Now Requires B12 in Breads

JERUSALEM--The Israeli Health Ministry ordered bread and wheatproducts to be fortified with vitamin B12, according to a story by theAssociated Press (AP). The move was decided upon because only 60 percent ofIsraelis get the recommended amount of the vitamin through current dietarypractices. Reportedly, Israel is the first country to require B12 fortification,although several countries fortify certain foods with folic acid.
