SANTE FE SPRINGS, Calif.NHK Laboratories donated 5,000 bottles of children's chewable multivitamins to Vitamin Angels. The non-profit organization delivers essential nutrients to pregnant mothers and young children in developing nations and communities. NHK has worked with the organization for multiple years, and intends to continue its annual donations in the future.

"This donation is a part of our ongoing social responsibility initiative at the company," said Shabbir Akand, NHK vice president, sales and marketing. "We hope these vitamins are able to help supplement the diet of those who are less fortunate with essential nutrients needed for normal development."

In 2012, Vitamin Angels reached nearly 27 million children in 47, including the United States. Learn more about the non-profit and its mission by downloading the free Upwards! magazine. For every download, VIRGO will donate $1 to the charity.
