SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. Dietary supplement manufacturer NHK Laboratories Inc. donated approximately 5,000 bottles of children's multivitamins to Vitamin Angels to help impoverished children in December.

Donations of multivitamins, like those they supply, are making a huge impact on the lives of the children who are most at-risk around the world," said Howard Schiffer, founder and president of Vitamin Angels.

NHK Laboratories was founded in 1987 and employs more than 100 scientists, technicians, chemists, microbiologists and operators for manufacturing and packaging of two-piece capsules, tablets and powder drink mixes.

Vitamin Angels helps give at-risk populations access to lifesaving and life-changing minerals and vitamins. The company worked to reach 30 million children in almost 50 countries in 2013.

Vitamin Angels has received six consecutive four-star ratings from Charity Navigator for financial health, accountability and transparency.
