Roche Donates Vitamin Eto SELECT Trial

PARSIPPANY, N.J.--Roche Vitamins (www.roche.com/vitamins) will provide vitamin E for the Selenium and Vitamin E Cancer Prevention Trial (SELECT), a 12-year study launched by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). The study will investigate the effectiveness of vitamin E, selenium and a combination of both in preventing prostate cancer.

More than 32,000 men in 400 clinical centers across the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada will participate in the study. "Roche Vitamins is privileged to work in partnership with the National Institutes of Health and various leading academic centers that are exploring nutritional strategies that will optimize health and prevent disease," said Vishwa Singh, director of human nutrition research at Roche Vitamins.
